This new facility can be found on the eastern edge of Bottineau along Highway 5 -- and it has allowed the staff at Farm Credit Services the ability to breathe a bit. They have basically tripled their space with this move to the new Farm Credit location that was completed about two weeks ago. Rod Bursinger is the branch supervisor here.

(Rod Bursinger - Farm Credit Services) "The old building was build for four to six people max and we have a staff of eight. Four on the loan side and four on the crop insurance side so there was a need for this building."

It will allow Farm Credit to continue its rapid growth in the region. Bursinger says in the last five years especially, added staff has led to much more business -- and they offer more than loans of course -- it had led to big business.

(Rod Bursinger - Farm Credit Services) "We have been hitting the road...competitive products and I will throw the PAT-Now thing out. We are a cooperative so buying from yourself with insurance...you keep interest rates down and that is the PAT-Now philosophy."

A grand opening celebration is planned for April 5th.

Just in time for the State B Boys Basketball Tournament, another hotel has opened its doors in Minot. Just to the south of the newly opened Noble Inn is the Sierra Inn on 20th Ave. SE. The hotel has 80 rooms and each and every room has microwaves and refrigerators ...and they offer an indoor pool as well.

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
