Trails for Transplants Horseback Ride

Posted:

A group of riders is saddling up for charity.
Trails for Transplants is a 311 mile horseback ride to raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

The trail ride starts May 31st in Warren, Minnesota and ends June 13th in Saint Anthony, North Dakota.
Riders ride roughly 22 miles a day, and camp out in small town along the way.
It's a dollar per mile to ride.
All proceeds benefit the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, Minnesota.

(Emily Gustafson / Trails4Transplants) "My dad also his son-in-law has a liver transplant in 1998, and he went on to have two children, so my dad has two grandkids because of organ donations. So it's very near and dear to both their hearts. The goal is to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation and get people to sign up to be organ donors on their drivers license."

If you would like to ride, sponsor a rider or just donate to the cause you can contact Roger Hille at 218-201-0589 or find them on Facebook at facebook.com/trails4transplants
