A Minot man was killed in an oilfield accident South of Stanley on Thursday. Mountrail County Sheriff Ken Halvorson released today that 31-year-old Joshua Lee Hoiland was cleaning the inside of a vac truck when an agitator inside the truck started and struck him in the head and chest. First Choice Energy Services co-workers called 911. The Stanley Fire Department rescue squad, Stanley Ambulance and Mountrail County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene. Hoiland was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck was on an oil location owned by Fidelity Exploration and Production about six miles southwest of Stanley. The fatality is under investigation by the Mountrail County Sheriff's Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
