Celebrating St. Patrick's Day in an Irish Pub

Posted: Updated:

The Blarney Stone pub in downtown Bismarck was filled to the brim with Irish and non-Irish saying cheers to the holiday.

Workers say they served breakfast-- starting at ten a-am and the bar was full by 11:30 Sunday morning.

Although many imbibe on green beer for St. Paddy's Day at the Blarney Stone they serve the real thing.

Irish beer.

One worker says the most popular beer today was Guinness.

But there was a sea of green outfits and costumes.

One patron traveled all the way from Stanton to celebrate among friends.

"My hat's a true story in itself, I bought it at a Mardi Gras, down in South Dakota when they were having a Mardi Gras on St. Paddy's Day. I had to have it, and it works well. (what is it?)

"It is a beer mug, don't you know--and it's Irish." says Judy Lang/Stanton.
