The State Class B girls basketball tournament is this week.
For the Grant County Coyotes, 2013, is the first trip ever to the biggest stage this state has to offer.
Jon Schaeffer has more.
The Grant County Girl's Basketball team has a trio uncommon for most teams anywhere in the country.
NICOLE BENTZ "It's quite the relationship they know me very well as their mom and they respect me as their coach and I think sometimes I can be a little harder on them than anybody else because they know my expectations and I think I hold them maybe a little higher."
Coach Bentz -- coaches 2 of her daughters -- Ashley and Sydney...
And although the pro's out weight the cons -- they all agree sometimes it's a battle not to take their work home.
Fortunately Grant County has only had 5 losses.
A winning season -- with help from the sister's on the court...
ASHLEY BENTZ "you know it's nice me and Sydney we know each other. We live together so on the court it just makes it that much easier to know what she's gonna do"
SYDNEY BENTZ "It's fun it's really fun having a family already being there supporting you on the bench already is really fun"
Ashley suffered a dislocated shoulder in January-- but put off surgery to try and lead the Coyotes to a state tournament in her senior season.
The last two years Grant County lost the Regional Championship-- but The Third time's a charm-- as the Coyotes finally punched their ticket to state with a win over Shiloh.
(Nicole Bentz/ Head Coach) "I don't think the luck went our way the two years before we were right there but just weren't able to finish to get those keys things in place. This year I think we were ready. the experience the prior two years helped us tremendously so just ready mentally and physically to get there."
The Bentz sisters have been a key part of the Coyotes success all season-- but Coach Bentz knows that she has an entire team that steps up when called.
(NICOLE BENTZ) "Those underclassmen are all going to have to step up anybody that comes in off the bench we have a number of girls that are capable of scoring and putting us in a position to win and so I think at different times of the year we've seen that different people step up and assume a leadership role."
This season has truly been a family affair --and they look to finish it with a state title...
