Foundation Distributes Funds

Posted: Updated:

If you were in the Coliseum Room at the Holiday Inn in Minot today, chances are you received a check.

That's because Saint Joseph's Community Health foundation hosted its annual Grant Awards Luncheon.

Saint Joseph's Health Foundation awarded 430 thousand dollars in grant moneys to organizations in the area.

With these grants, the Saint Joseph's has given away a total of 4 million dollars since the beginning.

The grant amounts ranged from one thousand dollars to 40 thousand dollars.

Donations went groups that help people with physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well being issues.

These organizations span across eleven different counties.

Over 80 charitable groups received money.

(Deb Foss, Activity Director, Benedictine Living Center) "We're kind of excited about it because it's going towards our new sensory room, for our Alzheimer's Neighborhood. So it will be going to fill our sensory rooms with things that we need"

Foss also said the Benedictine Living Center was honored and appreciative of the award.
