When Kohl's moved into Minot -- plans called for a restaurant of some sort to be constructed in the far northeast portion of the parking lot -- right here -- we now know what that will be. Panera Bread is planned for this site...along with retail space as well on the western portion of the building that will be constructed. Panera is known for, bread of course...along with pastas and other light fare. No word on when construction is slated to begin.
First International Bank and Trust of Minot is almost officially back after the Mouse River flood wiped out their original location at Arrowhead. Last fall, the bank started construction of a new location where the old Burger King stood. President John Drady says building back in this location was important for the bank...being that it is the original location in Minot. Monday is the first day the bank will be open...with an official grand opening celebration slated for next month.
Finally, on North Hill, you may have noticed that ING has changed over to Cognizant. The sale was completed in 2012 and what it means for the 600 plus employees in the Magic City is more opportunity. ING was exclusively dealing with financial matters...now with the Cognizant takeover, employees here are still working with ING as a client...but much much more as well -- including the booming healthcare industry...making training like this necessary.
(Casey Klein - Cognizant) "ING has been very financial oriented and now with Cognizant we are bringing in new customers and with that comes new opportunities. The healthcare industry...we got our first new customer."
Cognizant, as always...is hiring at its Minot location. With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
