Firefighters Take on Pros for Charity

Posted: Updated:

If March Madness has you craving more basketball, we have the live-action cure.

Former Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Minot to take on local firefighters on the basketball court.

The fun-filled comedy all-star charity basketball game will start on Sunday at 4:00 at the Minot State University dome.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

Minot firefighters will donate the proceeds to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Fireman Paul Laskowski says it's an afternoon of family fun that the fire department hopes to make an annual event.

(Paul Laskowski, Minot Fire Department) "We're going to give the Former Harlem Globetrotters a run for their money. We're excited. It's going to be a good time for all. A good game. We're ready. We've practiced ...twice now. But the Former Harlem Globetrotters, it's going to be fun. It'll be good for everybody."

Tickets are available at Cenex, Scheels and Marketplace.
