Nutrition Month

Posted: Updated:

Ten-thousand complimentary meals in 60 days.

Brentmoor Assisted Living has 'healthy' goals --- celebrating National Nutrition Month.

Today, Brentmoor staff hosted a free lunch for Dakota Terrace residents --- their neighbors just down the street.

According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, nearly one in ten seniors in America suffers from poor nutrition.

Brentmoor --- and their parent company Emeritus Senior Living --- is providing the free meals as an awareness campaign.

Community Relations Director Sandy Larson says good nutrition is the building block to good health --- regardless of age.

(Sandy Larson, Brentmoor Assisted Living Community Relations Director) "It's more than a business. It's your heart. So when you see these people and you know that they're in need, you want to reach out and help them the best way that you can whether it be with your own services or somebody else's services. It's a vital integral part of what we do everyday as Emertus employees, Brentmoor employees, and just being an important part of the Minot community."

If you're interested in helping a senior get the nutrition they need, please call Brentmoor Assisted Living at 839-3320.
