Another busy weekend is expected at Minot's Airport.
The airport has been setting passenger records each month for a couple of years now.
But holiday weekends are especially busy.
And that means parking headaches.
For this Easter Weekend, airport officials are trying to diminish the problem with some new parking arrangements.
Airport Manager Andy Solsvig says if you're coming to park at the airport any day this weekend, starting Thursday, you should go into the normal parking lot and look for a parking spot.
If there are none, talk to the attendant at the exit and you'll be directed to other areas.
The green areas are normal, paid parking.
The yellow overflow areas are free parking with a taxi shuttle service this Thursday and Friday.
And Solsvig says make sure to arrive early.
(Andy Solsvig, Minot Airport Manager) "We definitely encourage locals to be dropping off or getting a ride if you can, that just helps with the congestion issue. And the biggest thing really is encouraging people to show up two hours prior. When you think about having to find a parking spot, there might be a line to check in, there might be a line through security, you want to give yourself adequate time to get through the whole process."
If you end up parking in one of the overflow areas and use the free taxi service to get to the terminal, there will be a ten dollar charge to get a taxi to take you back to your car when you return.
Chantelle Pepple says she hopes people will have a greater appreciation for what "this monster took from this world and my family."
