Bismarck Study Wants Your Ideas For Downtown Upgrades

Posted: Updated:

The last time Bismarck took stock of its downtown was 1995.  Now, downtown planners want to know what you'd like to see in the future.

From parking ramps to green space.  Nothing is off-limits in the study of how to better downtown Bismarck.

"I think what we're hearing a lot of is . . . more pedestrian-friendly downtown sidewalks; some gathering spaces.  Really looking at a lot of streetscape amenities, and, obviously parking.  You don't get this chance very often, maybe once every 20 years.  So now's your chance to get your idea in front of the city," says Kate Herzog, Marketing & Assistant Director, Downtown Business Association of Bismarck.

Everyone from school kids to senior citizens are invited to participate.  If you've been to a downtown you really like, they want to hear about it.  There will be three more public idea meetings.  You can find out more at www.downtownbismarckstudy.com.
