Porcupine Creek Gold Coffee

Porcupine Creek Gold Coffee

Posted: Updated:

To a gold miner, the idea of selling coffee nationwide didn't sound very exciting, until he realized just how big it would become.

Fred Hurt, more commonly known as "Dakota Fred," has teamed up with MoJo Roast INC, to create a signature blend of coffee.

The idea came when Jo Khalifa, from MoJo Roast, sent Fred some of her coffee blends last summer.

She offered the idea of blending a special flavor for him, and that's when the light bulb came on.

"Porcupine Creek Gold Coffee" is kicking off in Minot grocery stores right now, and is going nationwide soon.

Dakota Fred now has his own line of special ceramic coffee mugs, travel mugs, and of course, coffee.

(Fred Hurt, Program Gold Rush) "It's got to be better than your average coffee. It can not be a mediocre coffee. It has got to be a very good blend of coffee, and she got it right."

You can give Porcupine Creek Gold Coffee a try --- and meet Dakota Fred --- on April 12th at Marketplace Foods on Broadway next to Taco Bell.
