This weekend The North Dakota Amateur State Basketball tournament took over gyms in Bismarck looking to crown state champs in a handful of divisions for both Men and women.
The tournament saw 9 more teams participate then last year bringing the total to 188.
Fans filled in the gyms at Century and BHS to watch Sunday as championship games were played.
Tournament Director Tim Kuntz says some of these players have taken part for decades.
He says some of the teams have developed rivalries-- but all around the tournament brings in good competition.
(TIM KUNTZ/ TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR) "In probably the old pro divisions those guys have been playing against each other for a long time and also in some of the more competitive divisions like the men's class a commercial 1. and the women's one. The upper divisions both men and women are fun to watch but actually there's some good competition in all 10 divisions that we have. great event. "
