Williston's airport logged a record number of boardings in March while passenger numbers dropped slightly in Minot.

At Williston, March boardings were more than double the number one year ago, jumping to nearly 75-hundred.

For the first three months of 2013, the number of people using the Williston airport is up 139%.

In Minot, boarding in March dipped a bit from the huge figure of 2012.

About 300 fewer passengers used the Minot airport last month than in 2012.

But for the first quarter of the year, Minot's boardings are up about 5% to just over 54-thousand.

For the state's eight biggest airports, March was a record month - rising more than 11% over 2012.
