Crews Work To Move Semi Out of Ditch On I-94

It might take you a bit longer to get home this evening if you're driving along I-94 in Mandan.

Crews are busy unloading this semi trailer just west of the Grant Marsh Bridge in Mandan.

The semi rolled over into the ditch Sunday morning, because of the April Blizzard.

The plan was to get the truck moved out of the ditch today, but it's taking longer than anticipated for crews to unload the trailer.

"Right now in the process of unloading the truck, have to do it by hand because it's a load of frozen foods and can't pick it up until it's unloaded, so we have one lane closed, DOT came out and got traffic to one lane," Captain Kyle Kirchmeier said.

When the semi is removed from the ditch, both lanes will be closed on I-94 westbound near the semi.

Kirchmeier says they will probably do that sometime tomorrow.
