Business Beat

Posted: Updated:

It's always one of the busiest lines each morning -- here, at Starbucks at Burdick and Broadway...now though, news that another location will soon be constructed in south Minot. Starbucks officials have confirmed that another new Starbucks location will be constructed this year near Bitz Communications...which is right near the new Kohl's Department store. Minot officials say paperwork has been filed with the city...we should have more details on this in the coming weeks on Business Beat.

It was a big celebration day today at First International Bank and Trust. The new Arrowhead location was officially opened with a ribbon cutting and festivities through the day. The old bank of course literally went under with the Mouse River flood two years ago...and not only was the decision made to rebuild -- but to move a bit. They are now located in the old Burger King location...and people seem to like what has been done.

(John Drady - First International Bank and Trust Minot President) "We had a lot of good reaction during construction, people saying they are glad that we were coming back to the neighborhood and then we have had since we have been open a lot of positive reaction with people coming in and thanking us for coming back to the neighborhood and that they like the look of the new facility."

The celebration continued past business hours -- hosting a 'Business After Hours' event this evening. With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
