We Will Remember Your Vote

Posted:

More than 1,000 flags are on the front lawn of the state capitol this week, representing North Dakotans who are upset over decisions made this legislative session.

Tonight around a dozen volunteers are putting the flags on the front lawn.

Each flag has a name and district of a person who is frustrated about the result of the Abortion bills and bills on discrimination of Sexual Orientation.

The movement is called We Will Remember Your Vote, hoping lawmakers will see the flags this week as they walk into the capitol.

"Not just to have these rallies that are for a couple hours, but something that could be long standing, these will be here through Thursday, we'll take them down Friday, but it shows a good collective voice of everyone in the same place at one time and it's at the capitol and they have to walk by it everyday so hopefully they'll look at them and see who's in their district and who's saying no this isn't what I wanted," Ashly Benson said.

The group will continue to put flags out all week.

You can find them on Facebook, search We Will Remember Your Vote.
