Student Spotlight: Fessenden

Posted: Updated:

Time for tonight's Student Spotlight, where we meet the top graduates from local high schools.

This time we're in Fessenden where two young ladies tied for the top spot in their class.

(Torie Jones, Fessenden Senior) "My favorite subjects - that's a hard one. My favorite teacher would probably be my English teacher because she's also my speech coach. But I also enjoyed my Vo-Ag classes, also my math and sciences and English. I really don't have a subject that I don't like."

(Alyssa Bruer, Fessenden Senior) "My math teacher Mrs. Delzer is probably my favorite teacher because she does well at making sure we know the harder subjects. I don't know if I have a favorite class, that's a hard one!"

(Torie Jones, Fessenden Senior) "I have a very busy schedule. I'm in student council, FFA-I was president this year, National Honor Society, band, choir, volleyball, golf..."

(Alyssa Bruer, Fessenden Senior) "I'm involved in lots, I'm in sports, volleyball, track, golf, student council, National Honor Society, SADD, FFA, annual staff and lots of stuff."

(Torie Jones, Fessenden Senior) "This fall I will be attending Concordia College in Moorhead and I will be on the speech team. That's what I'm focusing on now, as for a major I'm undecided so I'm looking at generals right now."

(Alyssa Bruer, Fessenden Senior) "I plan on going to University of Mary and majoring in athletic training but I'm not quite certain yet, that's just as of now."

Congratulations to Torie and Alyssa, the top seniors at Fessenden High School this year.

A total of 11 graduates will get their diplomas on May 26th.
