Corrections Budget Includes Money for Additional Employees

North Dakota lawmakers approve the budget for the Department of Corrections which includes exploring the future of a minimum security prison.

The budget includes additional corrections employees for adult and youth services.

But it also includes $200,000 to study the Missouri River Correctional Center in Bismarck possibly relocating and to study turning the current MRCC site into a park.

West Fargo Representative, Alon Wieland, has been pushing to move the MRCC to Mandan near the Youth Correctional Center.
