North Dakotans Mark 62nd National Day of Prayer

Posted: Updated:

At today's National Day of Prayer, North Dakotans are reminded not everyone in the country is experiencing this State's economic good fortune.

"While other parts of the country are experiencing economic hardship, we are enjoying prosperity," says Governor Jack Dalrymple (R-ND).

"We are thankful for all these blessings.  We are thankful for the opportunity to run businesses in this great State, in this great nation of ours," says Troy Nelson, Financial Advisor, Edward Jones, Bismarck.

"We ask today, Lord, that you would give wisdom and discernment to parents of all types," says Jessica Johnson, Dairy Farmer, Parent of 11.

"This year's theme, 'Pray for America,' is based on Matthew 12, verse 21, which reminds us, 'in His name, nations will put their hope,'" says Lieutenant Governor Drew Wrigley (R-ND).

Around 200 people came out to the Capitol to mark the 62nd observance of the National Day of Prayer.
