Student Spotlight: Sawyer

Posted: Updated:

She's hoping to become a history teacher after college.

Let's meet Kyleen Anderson, the top graduate at Sawyer, in tonight's Student Spotlight.

(Kyleen Anderson, Sawyer Senior) "I think I did well here because the school is so small and there's a lot of one on one time with the teachers - they're really open to coming in after school and helping you out because it's so small and there's a good ratio of students to teachers here. Math was always my favorite subject, I really don't know why and I know a lot of kids hate it but it was always been good at it. My English teacher has probably been my favorite teacher - she's our class advisor so we spend a lot of time together and she's really good. I'm in pretty much everything I can be - basketball, student council, FBLA, FCCLA, Leo's, drama club, my favorite. I'm planning to attend MSU to become a history teacher. It's kind of out of the blue. I've never been interested in it until this year there's just something about it - to learn about the past and how we came to be."

Congratulations to Kyleen and these honor students at Sawyer.

A total of nine seniors will be graduating on May 25th.
