Church Youth Band Surprises Family With Donation

Posted: Updated:

A young group of church members takes their mission outside to surprise a family who lost their home to a fire.

"It's kind of one of those things where you don't have to say anything, speechless moment, share how sorry we are and we hope they can get back on their feet as soon as possible."

Here's the youth band from First Lutheran Church in Mandan.

They are walking outside in the rain to drop off money raised for the Nelson family--who lost their home to a fire just down the road.

The youth group walked to where the Nelsons are now staying, to present them with around 500 dollars raised at their church through a caramel roll sale.

Needless to say there was a lot of emotion when their gift was delivered.

The family lost their home on May 10th, but firefighters were able to rescue the family's dog from the flames.
