Student Spotlight: Bishop Ryan

Posted: Updated:

Caps and gowns were the order of the day yesterday at Bishop Ryan High School.

But before we send the grads off, we want to introduce you to the valedictorians of the class.

Here are Abbey Steckler and Zachary Wald in our Student Spotlight.

(Abbey Stecker, Bishop Ryan Graduate) "I think competition with my classmates and my siblings really helped me to succeed here at Bishop Ryan."

(Zach Wald, Bishop Ryan Graduate) "I feel I did well in school because of the small class sizes. It allowed me to feel like I could get help from my teachers if I really needed it and felt like I had more one on one time."

(Abbey Stecker, Bishop Ryan Graduate) "My favorite classes have always been science classes and I think Mrs. Schapp would have to be my favorite teacher."

(Zach Wald, Bishop Ryan Graduate) "My favorite subject was math. But my favorite class was Fr. Wald's religion class last year and Mr. Finneman's classes."

(Abbey Stecker, Bishop Ryan Graduate) "Everything! I'm in science olympiad, envirothon, honor society, SADD, lots of math competitions and other academic competitions."

(Zach Wald, Bishop Ryan Graduate) "I've been involved in golf, student council, and honor society."

(Abbey Stecker, Bishop Ryan Graduate) "I plan to go to NDSU and study microbiology and after that plan to go to medical school and hope to become an immunologist or a pathologist."

(Zach Wald, Bishop Ryan Graduate) "Next year I plan to go to NDSU and I'm thinking of getting a degree in architecture."

Congratulations to these honor graduates at Bishop Ryan High School in Minot.

A total of 26 seniors received their diplomas yesterday - May 19th.
