4 Bears Casino and Lodge is marking two decades of operation this summer just west of New Town...and what better way to celebrate than to improve on the facility?! They have done just that, with the opening of the Bison Room -- a high end, fine dining restaurant. It is a big addition...almost 65-hundred square feet...and the meals served will be second to none -- ND prime beef...fresh seafood flown in each and every day...The Bison Room is open everyday for service starting at four.
In Velva, a project that has been a long time coming is finally open...and almost complete. Farmer's Union is now open on the west edge of town, replacing the much smaller location and providing a much needed upgrade. Stephanie Wright is the manager here...she says the increase in space has allowed for an increase in what they can offer customers.
(Stephanie Wright - Farmer's Union Velva) "We have our liquor and beer, the full deli that is open until ten, we have a nice trucker's lounge and parking. Videos...a few grocery items but mostly we are staying with the convenience store atmosphere. It is clean without much clutter. We want it open and easy to use."
The finishing touches continue to be made to the location...but even though it isn't totally complete yet, it is still nice to have all the room needed to serve a large quantity of customers...
(Stephanie Wright - Farmer's Union Velva) "The old store could probably fit in our trucker's lounge. It was very tiny. There wasn't any storage...we had to go out to a shed to get our things and we had one. When we said we were moving here we said we were excited for better parking, three tils, and more than one bathroom!"
They've got all of that now...With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
