A trip to the pharmacy became a bit more 'technical' in Mohall this spring.
Main Street's White Drug lost a pharmacy tech in April, which left staff to get creative with convenience.
Prescriptions are filled at Thrifty White in Minot and 'bussed' to Mohall.
When a patient arrives, the clerk calls the pharmacist with a webcam so that the pharmacist can confirm the appropriate medication is administered to the appropriate client.
Pharmacy Clerk Donna Cook says it may not be ideal, but it's working while they search for a new pharmacy tech.
(Donna Cook, Mohall White Drug Pharmacy) "It's a tele-pharmacy, we just hold up the prescriptions and she asks if it's the right medicine and if they need anything and if they have any questions so we're doing the best we can."
In order to have prescriptions filled on the same day, the prescription needs to be called into the pharmacy by 10 a.m.
