Student Spotlight: DL-B

Posted: Updated:

He has plans to become a doctor.

Let's meet Andrew Flick, the top graduate at Des Lacs Burlington High School in tonight's Student Spotlight.

(Andrew Flick, Des Lacs-Burlington Graduate) "I think I did well here because it's a small school and you get to know the teachers on a personal level and they help you out quite frequently if you need it. My favorite classes are the science and math classes - they come fairly easy to me. And all the teachers are very good - they help you get your work done. I'm involved in track, football, NHS, student council and a few other ones. I plan on going to UND and majoring in biology and eventually going to med school and becoming a doctor. It's a very interesting subject to me and I've always wanted to help people so that's one of the main reasons I've wanted to go into medicine."

Congratulations to Andrew and these honor students at Des Lacs-Burlington High School.

A total of 29 seniors got their diplomas at ceremonies held last Sunday.

It's almost here...The 2014-2015 school year is less than a month away, and districts around the region are trying to get a handle on just how many kids will come through the doors on that first day.
