Community Bowl Progress

Posted: Updated:

The eight million dollar renovation of the Bismarck Community Bowl is coming along.

Amenities in the storage facility, construction of the locker rooms, and a new score board are complete.

Now the focus is on finishing the spectator center.

The structure will be 184 feet long with a 7,500 square foot ground floor.

Kelvin Hullet says fans will notice two new concession stands as well as new bathrooms.

When it's done there will be 6,500 seats.

Kelvin Hullet, President of the Bismarck/Mandan Chamber of Commerce says, "In addition there is going to be a new track for our student athletes. We're going to do some renovation on the existing field to make sure that the turf is up to spec and I think just overall it's going to be a much better fan experience and we know it's going to be a better experience for our student athletes."

Construction began in the summer of 2012 and is expected to wrap up this fall.
