Self Protection Course

Posted: Updated:

Crime rates are up across many communities in the state.

A reason many feel their personal safety is under attack.

Instead of being threatened...

The North Dakota Safety Council wants you to be empowered.

They have developed a new Self Protection and Predator Awareness Course.

This teaches students about the most common types of attacks as well as types of predators and how to recognize them.

Students also learn techniques for how to escape an attacker.

Don Moseman says the importance of taking a self protection course now--is necessary.

"But in North Dakota now, it's super critical. You just in the paper on Thursday 17 percent crime rate rise in Bismarck. Many of the communities in western North Dakota have seen crime rates sky rocket way beyond that," says Don Moseman, Director of the North Dakota Safety Council.
