Two Men Arrested in Bismarck for Human Trafficking


Bismarck Police arrest two men for human trafficking, and one of them is a sports writer for a North Dakota paper.


As part of an ongoing investigation, Bismarck Police officers arrested Aaron Collins and Bobby Abplanalp Wednesday night.

The men have been charged with attempted human trafficking.

It's a class A felony, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Bond is set at 50-thousand dollars for each man.

Authorities say the men each arranged to meet a person who was under 18 years old and pay them for sex.

Abplanalp who is originally from Utah is the sports editor at The Dickinson Press.

He started with the paper in May.
