Nola Biker Ride

Nola Biker Ride

Posted: Updated:

Today's weather made for a great day to take the chopper out for a spin.

Some biker's in Minot not only went for a long ride but they raised money for the homeless in the process.

Riding for the Homeless is a fundraiser bike run to five different locations around the northwest portion of the state.

The day includes a poker run and a silent auction with all of the proceeds going to the Homeless Coalition of Minot.

This is the third year for the event

Coordinator of the event Harry Thrailkill Thrail-kill jumped at the chance for the opportunity to give back to his community.

(Harry Thrailkill, Coordinator) "I guess I just felt like I knew enough people where we could raise some decent money and help them out... it's just a lot of fun to get on your bikes and raise some money and help someone else out while you are having a good time."

The riders will travel as far as Berthold before coming back to Nola's some time tonight.
