MSU President's Staff Rebuttal

Posted: Updated:

Minot State University President Dr. David Fuller has been criticized in a performance evaluation by outgoing University System Chancellor Ham Shirvani.

The evaluation was made public in a blog earlier this week - a direct violation of the North Dakota Century Code.

North Dakota Century Code states that 'No documents that address an employee's character or performance may be placed in the file unless the employee has had the opportunity to read the material.'

All six members of the MSU President's staff unanimously support Dr. Fuller's request to expunge the evaluation from the record.

A letter of support was extended to the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education today.

(Dick Jenkins, MSU Vice President of Student Affairs) "We think our president has been unfairly evaluated and the way in which it was done was unfair and illegal. We feel it's very important that we set the record straight from our view point."

Shirvani recommends no pay raise for Fuller because of what Shirvani calls poor leadership.

Fuller says he's proud of his accomplishments at Minot State.
