Benefit for Pastor With Cancer

Posted: Updated:

The Granville community came together today to support the cause of their beloved Pastor and friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

A fundraiser was held for Mary Miska, Pastor of Granville's two churches.

Friends and family gathered for lunch and a silent auction to support the cause today.

In February of this year, Miska fell and broke her hip, and that's when several spots of cancer were found.

Friends and church members of First Lutheran Church in Granville says that since Pastor Mary has given so much of her time and talents to the community, that the least they could do was give back to her in some way.

Ten-thousand sixty dollars was raised today.

Pastor Miska hopes to out of treatment and back in Granville by July.
