Employers throughout North Dakota may be getting some money back soon.
Almost 160 million dollars in payments will be refunded to employers from North Dakota's workers' compensation program.
Workforce and Safety Insurance will distribute credits to around 22 thousand employers in the state.
This is the eighth payout to employees since 2005 totaling more than 774 million dollars.
Work Safety and Insurance reserve money must range between 120 to 140 percent of expected claims.
One WSI board member says the payments mean employers in good standing will end up paying half of their premium.
