Campground Cleans Up Before Mcquade Softball Tournament

Last weekends storm is keeping crews at General Sibley Park busy this week.

The Mcquade Softball tournament kicks off tomorrow in Bismarck which means a lot of visitors will be camping in town.

Close to 30 trees had to be removed this week at Sibley Park, after 70 mph winds blew through Bismarck last weekend.

<<"This is the busiest weekend of the season of course you know Mcquades, I mean we're generally to capacity every weekend as it is, but especially with out tent campers, we get a lot more from Mcquades so we definitely had to prepare for the big crowd this weekend," Facilities Specialist Martha Willand said.>>

As of today Willand said they were about 75 percent done with their cleanup.

They plan to be all done tomorrow just in time for campers.
