Fireworks Sales Booming

Posted: Updated:

With Fourth of July less than a week away, firework sales are booming.

Buying fireworks by the bundle is a ritual for many for the Independence Day weekend.

With the Fourth happening on a Thursday this year, many people are stocking up for this weekend and the day of the Fourth.

Workers at Memory Fireworks are constantly re-stocking shelves because of the high demand.

Each night, the store shoots off some of the products to give potential buyers a demonstration.

One employee feels fireworks are an essential part of the Fourth of July celebration.

(Michael Goulet, Employee, Memory Fireworks) "It's an event. It's something to get a lot of people together. Kind of get the community, get the whole American patriotism going and it's just something that is good for the family and good for the community.

Goulet-lay says the busiest days for buying fireworks are the third and fourth.
