The McQuade Softball tournament is in full swing-- Bismarck and Mandan are buzzing with people looking to get some big wins this weekend and try to take down the always challenging field of teams.
But the busiest diamond so far has to be field 8 down at Clem Kelly for the Military All Star game.
Fans lined the fences just to get a glimpse at some of our servicemen past and present crushing a slow pitch softball-- and they sure were not disappointed.
The Army Navy team led by Honorary Team Captain Staff Sergeant Clinton Romesha got out to a hot start in the top of the first scoring 5 runs-- but the Air Force Marines and Coast Guard Team answered with 8 in the home half and never looked back.
For the both team's captains it was a treat to be part of the friendly rivalry and see the support from the community.
The final of the game 18 to 8 hopefully next year Army- Navy can muster up a little more run support.
