Jazz Festival Returns to Minot

Jazz Festival Returns to Minot

Posted: Updated:

The sounds of piano keys, drums, and strings filled the air at the Scandinavian Heritage Park today.

The 6th annual Integrity Jazz Festival returned to Minot with a full line up of musical guests.

The day opened up with a performance from local high school and college students from Minot.

The day continued with performances from THE Swing Band of Minot, Bismarck's Little Big Band and Pivetta Duo.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra returned for the second year in a row and is currently playing until 8:00 tonight.

Executive Director of the Minot Area Council of the Arts Terrie Aldrich says the festival offers more than entertainment to the Minot community.

(Terri Aldrich, Executive Director, Minot Area Council of the Arts)"It provides a piece of quality of life that impacts the economy in dollars and cents terms. So people come to the festival from out of town, they buy gas, they stay in hotels. So that brings dollars into our community."
