While the Tournament is filled with big city teams from across the nation-- small North Dakota towns also want to represent at the State's Biggest Softball Tournament.
The Medina team sponsored by Gundy's Bar and Grill made the hour long drive from the farming community to Bismarck for the McQuade tournament.
The team is made up of players of all ages-- some that played high school ball together-- others just looking to get a break from the farm-- enjoying the time on the diamond with the team.
It's a bond that many teams have in common-- but for the players from Medina its extra special.
(Myron Gunderson/ Coach) "It's good there's a lot of comradery with the guys. We have a lot of fun playing together. They grew up together. So they've kind of played through the years. It makes it fun you know everybody has a lot of fun and play ball good together."
(Richard Heinrich/ Gundy's Player) "It's awesome I mean it brings back that sense of community we all felt when we were in high school when we were playing sports. It's just fun. It kind of unites us gives us a common bond. I guess for most of us it's the only time in the week we all see each other and hang out so it's kind of neat I guess. "
