Minot Festival of the Parks

Minot Festival of the Parks

Posted: Updated:

Keeping with the Fourth of July festivities, may found themselves to Minot's Festival of the Parks.

Fun for the whole family was at the Scandinavian Heritage Park for the third straight year.

City Band of Minot performed a patriotic concert for Independence Day.

Several other entertainers kept the crowds busy throughout the day including Carnival Cruise headline juggler Jason Huneke.

With delicious food and great entertainment many enjoyed themselves.

"Wonderful. Oh, there's people everywhere, it's just wonderful. We have good entertainment."

"It's been fun. It's a beautiful day, sunny, a little breeze to keep you cooled off, and a lot of good music, the juggler, so it's been fun. Good food, too!"

"I really like the band that played out here - the city band - it's really awe inspiring. And the talks they gave during it, it's great."

"The sun is shining, the entertainment is great, people are smiling and happy and clapping - I think it's great!"

This year's festival dedicated to memory of Hardy Lieberg (Lee-berg), chairman of parks committee for over 20 years. Aldrich says they've carried on Lieberg's vision of a family-friendly, engaging, and patriotic festival.
