North Dakota Highway Patrol ramped up its efforts to contribute in motor vehicle inspections this year.

Each year an annual commercial motor vehicle enforcement program takes place throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

And this year the states highway patrol tripled the amount of troopers involved from last year.

The patrol completed 690 inspections during the event last month, more than doubling the number from last year.

508 violations were found in all.
