If you're looking for a way to get rid of old pesticides laying around the house, the department of agriculture is willing to help.
Project Safe Send collects and disposes of any unwanted pesticides.
North Dakota Department of Agriculture encourages anyone interested in disposing of unusable pesticides to do so during this month.
This includes herbicides, insecticides, rodenticides and fungicides.
For over 20 years the program has collected, then shipped the unwanted pesticides out of town for incineration all free of charge.
One member of the Department of Agriculture says not only is the process the cheapest route, it's also the safest.
(Jeremiah Lien, Pesticide Specialist, Department of Agriculture) "You don't want to pour or dump out those chemicals that can leach into the environment, get into ground water, those types of things. This is a safe way to get rid of it and they take it and dispose of it safely and properly."
Different locations for collection are chosen each day.
Tomorrow Project Safe Send will be in Watford City.
