Mandan Kachinas Give Car Washes

Posted: Updated:

After being out in the heat, it's good to let a little water wash over you--or over your car.

The Mandan High School Kachinas Dance team along with the help of their parents were located at the Cenex in Mandan and Dan's Supermarket ready to wash your vehicle.

This was a carwash competition between this team, the Bismarck Demonettes and the Century Centahnas to see who could raise the most funds.

"We're doing the carwash to raise money for our dance team to buy outfits and be able to go to state and stuff," says the Mandan Kachinas Dance Team.

And the summer heat did not stop the Kachinas from putting their teamwork to good use while having a lot of fun.

"They can have fun. Sometimes they have a little bit of water fights but yeah they look forward to it to get out in the weather and enjoy the sun," says Jessica Runge, Coach, Kachinas Dance Team.

All of the proceeds go to support each respective team.
