Halliburton Fined in Death

Posted: Updated:

Halliburton has been cited by the federal government for safety violations in the death of a man working at an oil rig near Watford City in January.

49-year-old Mike Krajewski of Duluth, Minnesota, died when a pipe struck him in the head.

OSHA concluded that Halliburton failed to maintain a safe worksite and is proposing $14,000 in fines.

Halliburton can contest the fines and a company spokesperson says the company is reviewing the matter.
