North Dakota Wants -- Your 125th Logo Designs

Posted: Updated:

Calling all North Dakotans.  Here's your chance to be patriotic -- and creative -- at the same time.

On November 2, 1889, North Dakota was admitted to the Union when President Benjamin Harrison signed the Proclamation of Admission.  That means next year marks North Dakota's 125th anniversary.  Your ideas for an official logo are needed.  The winning logo will be used on promotional materials and merchandise for the year-long quasquicentennial celebration.

"It is completely open to interpretation by the artists that are submitting their designs, you know, whether they want to represent the past, the present, the future or all three things.  Really, their logo design can represent whatever North Dakota means to them," says Janean Rambough, North Dakota 125th Anniversary Coordinator.

Logo designs should feature images representative of North Dakota's history and heritage, as well as opportunities for the future.  The contest is open to all North Dakotans -- amateurs and pros.

Submission guidelines can be found on the State Historical Society's website.  The deadline to submit is Monday, August 12th.
