Traffic Changes for Fair

Posted: Updated:

The State Fair means changes in the traffic patterns in the city - especially in the eastern part.

The Minot Police remind you the speed limit in the area of the Fairgrounds is now 25 miles per hour.

In addition, they say 'no parking' areas will be strictly enforced.

Police ask you to be alert for a high volume of pedestrian traffic in the Fairgrounds area.

And they say they'll be out in force, watching for impaired drivers and other violations.

And remember from 4 to 8 PM this Friday and Saturday and one week from Friday, traffic on 27th Street Southeast - the street that's on the eastern edge of the Fairgrounds - there will be restrictions on traffic so it's best to avoid that area unless you're headed to the concerts on those nights.
