The State Fair offers something fun for all ages--especially the little ones.
Babies and toddlers both showed they had the need for speed in the Diaper Derby and the Toddler Trot.
The young competitors lined up on the six-lane racing area to try and beat each other to the finish line.
Diaper Derby was for babies under the age of 12 months and the Toddler Trott was for children under the age of 24 months.
Marketing Intern for the State Fair, Ashley Busch, says the competition is a chance for the young fair-goers to get involved.
(Ashley Busch, Marketing Intern, NDSF)"It's fun for the parents to cheer them on and it's kind of line their first race ever I believe. And you've got to have something for the kids--even the really little ones at the fair."
Town and County Credit Union sponsored the event.
Minot Police say Sophia Pepple of New Town was struck by a pickup and killed about 6:25pm Sunday.
In addition, both had recently been released from state prison.
A two-year-old child was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Minot Sunday evening.
