Southgate crossing for the most part, is still a big construction zone...but get to the south end and you'll find Gordmans has officially opened. After some frantic work the last few days to get the outside finished, they were able to open the doors today for the first time. A grand opening and ribbon cutting is planned for next month, but you can shop the nationwide retail chain now. Cashwise Foods and Petco are other businesses that are currently being wrapped up for openings in the next few weeks. Southgate Crossing is located on 16th Ave to the southwest of Dakota Square Mall.

Speaking of...in the mall, Famous Footwear has completed construction of their newest location and opened for business on Wednesday. A grand opening celebration is planned here for early August as well. Famous Footwear has more than 1000 locations nationwide...and you'll find them in the mall in the old Gideon's Trumpet and Radio Shack locations right next to JCPenny.

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
