Bobcats Open Main Tryout Camp

The process of climbing the hockey ranks is unlike most sports-- often times having to work through Junior Hockey before getting to college.
This weekend 80 players from all over the country try to make the Junior A Tier II  Bismarck Bobcats 30 man roster.

It's a chance to play for one of the best in the NAHL
Bobcat veterans like goaltender Aaron Nelson are also playing in this weekends camp.
The Cats did some work in the draft looking for some new offensive stars-- as they return a good core of defensemen.
for Head Coach Layne Sedevie and his staff This weekend is all about narrowing the roster down to 30.
He says they have to start putting the pieces together for another strong season.

"It's the starting point of rebuilding our hockey team that's the exciting part about this weekend for us. I know we're a little bit away from you know exhibition and the regular season but this weekend is a huge weekend for us. I mean there's pieces we have to put together and it all happens here. " says Sedevie.

The Tryout Camp will continue Saturday with sessions starting at 10 AM and 6 PM and concludes with Sunday Morning's all-star game at 9 am.
