The 2013 North Dakota State Fair was another record-setter.
Final attendance figures for the fair were released this morning...
and they show a total of 320,486 people came through the gates this year.
That's up by nearly ten thousand from the previous record year - last year.
The record was sealed with record attendance on Wednesday and Friday of last week.
Saturday's final day number was more than 35-thousand, the second-highest number on the fair's final day.
While the record attendance is good news, State Fair Manager Renae Korslein says the fair is looking beyond the numbers to gauge this year's success.
(Renae Korslein, General Manager, NDSF)"Our true measurement I think is the smiles we see on people coming in, the happy kids that are playing in the sandbox, the guys that were out playing the three-on-three basketball and all the fun entries where kids were taking care of their livestock and showing off their projects."
As the final exhibits are being moved out of the State Fair Center, Korslein says the State Fair staff is already making plans for next year's fair.
