The body of a New Town man was pulled from Lake Sakakawea this afternoon.
50-year-old Scott Eagle fell off a pontoon late Tuesday night during a family outing.
Tribal officials say a dive team from Wisconsin used special sonar equipment to locate Eagle's body in about fifty feet of water this morning.
His body was recovered about mid-afternoon northwest of the Four Bears Bridge, very near where the family reported his disappearance.
Eagle served on the MHA Nation Tribal Council from 2008 through 2012 and has served on the school board.
Tribal Chairman Tex Hall has ordered tribal flags flown at half-staff in honor of Scott Eagle.
